We have a great opportunity for a Director of Nursing Operations at our 40 bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital in Brownsville, Texas!

At South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital, we provide inpatient rehabilitation to people recovering from disabling diseases and injuries, such as strokes, orthopedic, brain, and spinal cord injuries. In addition, we treat individuals who may have chronic illnesses such as cerebral palsy, ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease), multiple sclerosis or Parkinson’s disease.

Nationally Recognized: Our hospital has been ranked in the Top 10% nationally for rehabilitative care for the past 8 years, and has earned The Joint Commission’s advanced stroke and hip fracture certifications. This means that we provide the highest level of care available to patients right here in our own community.

Requirements: 3-5 years experience in a hospital nurse management position preferred. Current license as a registered nurse in the state of Texas; current CPR certification and Masters Degree

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for managing Nursing operations on a twenty-four (24) hour basis, including high quality, cost effective delivery of patient care, managing nursing personnel, and developing and implementing approved department projects and goals. The DNO is responsible for the effective use of care plan by the nursing staff. The DNO is responsible for the development and implementation of nursing staff education, as well as, managing the operational, clinical and financial objectives of the Nursing Department and other areas of responsibility. The DNO is a member of the hospital Governing Body.
