Northern Colorado Rehabilitation Hospital (NCRH) is currently seeking a full-time (FT) Medical Records Clerk. This position is responsible for assembling and maintaining patient health information in medical records and charts. Files and retrieves records as requested by health care professionals, assists with completion of the record with proper identification and signatures.

  • Responsible for posting insuring timely completion of medical records;
  • Responsible for accurately assembling and analyzing inpatient and outpatient medical records following hospital procedure;
  • Correctly files medical records in straight numeric order to enhance timely availability;
  • Retrieves medical records for special studies, chart reviews and committee meetings within required time frames;
  • Audits files for completion and accuracy;
  • Complies with HIPAA guidelines.

Minimum Work Experience:

  • Medical record experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • OR any equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Skills/Knowledge/Ability

  • Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management
  • Effective organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality
  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards
