Mountain Valley Regional Rehabilitation Hospital is a 44-bed, Rehabilitation Hospital. Our facility has been uniquely designed solely for the provision of specialized rehabilitative care and fosters a comfortable and responsive environment for our patients. MVRRH has been ranked in the Nation’s Top 10% for Rehabilitative Care 11 years in a row!

Our hospital provides rehabilitative services for patients with functional deficits as a result of debilitating illnesses, or injuries. Through our inpatient rehabilitation programs, we help patients recover quickly and return home with a renewed sense of self-sufficiency.

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for providing healthy food for patients, employees, and visitors. Prepares food ensuring that strict safety standards are followed. Creates menus and orders supplies for the hospital kitchen and cafeteria. Integrates the hospital’s mission and "Guiding Principles" into daily practice.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Equivalent in in education or experience required.
  • Food Handlers License required.

 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of patient diets and safe food handling requirements and use of Nutritional Care Manual.
  • Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain quality and safety standards.
  • Ability to maintain proper levels of confidentiality.
  • Ability to work closely and professionally with others.
  • Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards.
