Position description: Answers all incoming calls from internal and external sources. Operates paging system. Ensures patient information is maintained and updated. Answers and transfers incoming calls. Greets visitors and maintains visitor log(s).

Provide backup as an Admissions Representative. Conduct admissions of patients, including required paperwork. Generate inpatient census report. Complete data entry pertaining to charge and adjustment entries. Handle cash for Meal Cards. Accept payment and make change for meal tickets. Keep record of sales; reconcile cash and record as appropriate.

Skills / Requirements

One year of reception experience in a healthcare setting preferred or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrates general computer skills including: data entry, word processing, email, and record management.

Effective organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills.
